- Pan-fry or grill Wunderoots™ Classic American Style Carrot Dogs dog according to package instructions.
- Make the beer cheese sauce in a medium saucepot, combine American cheese, beer, Worcestershire, garlic powder, chili powder and onion powder. Place on stove and turn heat to low. Stir until mixture has melted and come together.
- Warm the pretzel buns in the toaster oven or on a skillet. Top with 2 tablespoons of beer cheese sauce, sliced pickled jalapenos, and minced white onion. Serve immediately.
This could be a “nacho” plant-based dog by switching out the beer cheese with queso and substituting the onions and jalapenos with salsa or pico de gallo. Chopped fresh cilantro would make a nice garnish for this build.
Beer can be adjusted for a thicker or thinner sauce, and more beer may need to be added for reheating or keeping sauce warm, as it will lose moisture over time.
