Our Bolthouse Farms Tomato Carrot Celery Juice is an excellent source of vitamin C and vitamin A, and also delivers potassium, and a trio of carrotenoids - beta-carrotene, alpha-carrotene and lycopene. Imagine something so good for you tasting so great!

The tomatoes, carrots and celery that go into our juice are full of carrotenoids, the plant pigments responsible for the red, yellow, orange and dark green colors found in fruits and vegetables. In your body, carrotenoids convert to retinal, a form of vitamin A. This helps you see in the dark and may prevent macular degeneration, the leading cause of age-related blindness.

Specific carrotenoids also are known to have certain health benefits of their own. For example, beta-carrotene has been shown to enhance certain measures of the immune function. Beta-carrotene may offer protection from some aspects of aging and improve lung function. It has been shown to protect damaged cells from reproducing.

Lycopene, which is found in tomatoes, may be one of the most potent anti-oxidants available. While the effects are still being studied, lycopene is known to help prevent and repair damage to cells caused by free-radicals in the body. Lycopene is actually absorbed better in the body if eaten in heated or processed foods, such as tomato juice. Just two glasses of tomato juice a day can provide all the benefits of lycopene!

So drink up and enjoy! Your body will thank you for it!
