Q. Can I eat the carrots right out of the bag?
A. Yep. They're washed and ready to go.

Q. How are baby-cut carrots grown?
A. We plant seeds bred for their sweet taste, small core, and color/vitamin content. Then we harvest them while they're still young and tender. The rest of the credit goes to California soil and sunshine!

Q. Are the carrots really "baby" carrots or are they cut from larger carrots?
A. Surprise, we cut 'em! Immature carrots wouldn't have much flavor. Most of the flavor "sets" as they mature.

Q. Do you add something to make the carrots so sweet?
A. Nope, it's all natural, well, except we do have one farmer who talks especially nicely to the carrots.

Q. Do you add preservatives to your carrots?
A. No! We add nothing to our carrots. They are chilled before we put them in the bag, and they stay refrigerated until you buy them. Please keep them in your refrigerator!

Q. Can the carrots be frozen?
A. Yes, but if you do freeze them they will be soggy. You can still cook them after freezing.

Q. Where are the baby carrots grown?
A. California! If you're a carrot, California is heaven!

Q. Why do my carrots sometimes turn whitish?
A. They're just a little thirsty. Carrots are a root, and they either want to store water, or supply it. In the refrigerator, they try to supply it. Soak them in a bowl of icy water for a few minutes and they're as good as new!

Q. Is Bolthouse Farms really a farm?
A. It really is. We have big fields and lots of tractors and specialized farming equipment. We never have to wonder who tracked all the dirt into the offices!

Q. Are your carrots genetically modified?
A. No.

Q. How long has Bolthouse Farms been around?
A. The Bolthouse family began commercial vegetable farming in western Michigan in 1915. From the very beginning the company was known for quality and innovation. After more than 90 years of farming and distributing premium, fresh produce, we added a state of the art bottling facility in the fall of 2002. This new facility allows us to produce, not from concentrate, premium quality juice year around.

Q. What is "Flash Pasteurization"?
A. This process quickly heats the juice to kill any microorganisms, and then quickly cools the juice to a chilly 35 degrees all in a matter of seconds. It allows us to provide you with the safest, freshest and best tasting juice available. This unique form of pasteurizing our juice allows us to provide you with a safe product, without losing the wonderful fresh taste of the juice.Q. What is cold sterile filled?
A. We use a patented cold-aseptic bottling process where, unlike most beverages, the bottles are actually made in a sterile environment just moments before they are filled. The room qualifies as a Class 100 Clean Room, ensuring that it is almost completely void of everything other than sterile air. Once made, the bottles are filled and capped within the clean room, ensuring the product is as safe inside the bottle as it was only seconds after it was flash-pasteurized.

Q. Where is your juice made?
A. We make our juice daily in our newly constructed state of the art bottling facility located in the San Joaquin Valley of California.

Q. Is your juice perishable?
A. Yes! Our juice must be kept cold. Under normal refrigerated conditions, our juice can be safely enjoyed up to the expiration date printed on the bottle. (40 days from production)

Q. How long will your juice stay fresh?
A. Once the bottle is opened, our juice should retain its fresh flavor for approximately 7-10 days.

Q. Is there any vitamin loss during the juicing process?
A. Some nutrients degrade due to heat during the "Flash Pasteurization" process. Our cold sterile fill production method enables us to limit the amount of heat treatments during bottling, so you get the highest nutritional value, and freshest taste possible while still ensuring the safety of our product.

Q. Where can I recycle your bottle?
A. Bolthouse juice bottles can be recycled anywhere that accepts P.E.T. #1 plastics.

Q. Where can I find your product?
A. Bolthouse Farms beverages can be found in the refrigerated produce section of your local grocery store.
