We use "flash pasteurization" and a "cold clean room" filling process to guarantee that our juices are premium down to the last drop. The benefits are superior food safety, extra long shelf life, unmatched flavor and enhanced nutritional value.

This patented "cold clean room" technology defends against contamination and provides an innovative way for us to take ripe produce from the field to the bottle and capture all the freshness and flavor.

Flash Pasteurization!
At Bolthouse Farms, we use "flash pasteurization" to rapidly heat the juice to a high temperature, eradicating potentially harmful bacteria. Then, just as quickly, the juice is cooled down. This preserves the nutrients and flavors in the juice, keeping in all the good-for-you sweetness we guarantee in our products.

Many other juice producers use standard pasteurization, which requires high temperatures over longer time periods. The end result often means the product has sacrificed fresh flavor for a longer shelf life. But we don't want to compromise on flavor, so we "flash pasteurize" and lock the goodness in the bottle with a patented filing process.

Another innovation makes it possible for us to keep the flavors in the bottle. It's called "cold clean room" filling and is one of the most advanced technologies now available.

Cold clean room filling!
Imagine a nearly sterile environment where state-of-the-art processes are used to make bottles, fill and cap all in one system that virtually eliminates germs and preserves flavors. That's the inside of Bolthouse Farms new juice plant.

This is a patented cold clean room bottling process where, unlike most beverages, the bottles are actually made in a nearly sterile environment just moments before they are filled. The room qualifies as a Class 100 Clean Room, ensuring that it is almost completely void of everything other than sterile air. Once made, the bottles are filled and capped within the clean room, ensuring the product is as safe inside the bottle as it was only seconds after it was flash-pasteurized.
